NEWS

Cox Wokingham Plastics Ltd will be exhibiting at “Aircraft Interiors Expo”, Hamburg, Germany, 1-3 April 2008.

In July of 2006 Wokingham Plastics Ltd purchased Cox Thermoforming.

We are currently merging the two businesses under the "Cox Wokingham Plastics" banner, in recognition of the synergy between these two well established brands. The new company will continue to manufacture at Wokingham and Tring sites and will make us a major thermoformer across the UK, enabling us to deliver high quality and reliable products at cost-effective prices to former customers of Wokingham Plastics, Cox Thermoforming, as well as new customers.

The merger will bring many benefits to new and existing customers with additional processes and capacity.

Please contact the sales department to discuss your particular needs and see how you can benefit.

Wokingham Plastics have been supplying high quality thermoformed components since the late 1930's, incorporated under the name of Wokingham Plastics in 1942. As legend has it, one of our first jobs was forming acrylic canopies for Battle of Britain Spitfires, and many years later we are now supplying components used in the latest generation of fighter jets, amongst many other applications. We are accredited to ISO9001:2000 quality standard. We supply cost effective manufacturing solutions to many application areas across the full spectrum of industry.

Cox Thermoforming also have a rich history and have been supplying high quality mouldings for a similar time period.

The new alliance of these two industry leaders under the name of "Cox Wokingham Plastics Limited" brings together the best of the two companies with the synergy to service customers, old and new, with high quality products on a cost-effective basis long into the future.

We have an in-house tooling facility with high capacity forming machines (up to 3.3 metres in length) sophisticated multi axis CNC machines and CAD/CAM facilities, amongst the best in the industry.

We can mould components in any thermoformable sheet material and use environmentally friendly materials wherever possible, recycling all possible and possible waste materials.

We can also offer a wide range of added value services, such as assembly, printing, coatings for improved hardness, scratch resistance, anti static (EMI/RFI), etc.

All this means we can offer a cost-effective, high quality solution for all your production needs, from start-up through low, medium or high volume production.

So if you are looking for an alternative supplier or have a new project and wish to evaluate the potential benefits of thermoforming over other processes such as sheet metal, GRP or injection moulding, please give us a call and we will be happy to help.
